A three-piece collection inspired by connection and creativity.

These items were designed to go along with a pop up I was planning to host with a small group of close friends at the 2020 Specialty Coffee Association annual conference in Portland. The goal of the pop up wats to create a space for people to slow down, have conversations, and connect in a way that the trade show floor doesn’t really encourage. The pandemic hit and the show was canceled and I released the project as a capsule collection online.

Each item has a sense of personal connection built into it. The characters on the coffee bag are representations of my friends, the pin reminds us of the possibility that connection brings and has a space on the backing card for us to write a note to ourself, the postcard has a pay it forward element and is good old-fashioned tactile snail mail. What I deeply wanted to be an in-person, face to face event turned into the perfect pandemic project. I was able to express myself and channel my creativity while creating a conduit for connection for the small group of people who were amazing enough to be a part of the Group Thread.
