Sometimes we have big ideas in our head but can’t bring them to life alone. This tamper is the result of what happens when big ideas, inspiration, and connection come colliding together.

The tools we use create an emotional connection that is greater than the sum of their function. We develop relationships with them. They radiate energy. In the same way working with inspiring people inspires us, the process of working with something that was inspired in its creation inspires us to do our best work.

I’ve always wanted to create the tamper that lived inside my head but it was always too expensive, too over the top, too niche, too wild for anyone to design or produce.

Until I met Nick and Steven.

Nick is a mechanical engineer at Fellow, and creator of the Science Tamper–the original heat treated, hardened 440C tamper whose design heavily inspired my tamper. Steven is an artist, industrial designer and production wizard who owns Artpresso Design, the company that brought this dream to life.
